"The defense, one defense in particular, I thought had a really good day, started really fast," Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel said. Heupel also mentioned Tennessee's offense will need to clean up areas of execution. "Offensively, there's some execution that we have to clean up," he said. "That's guys that are skill players out on the perimeter. It was some of our protection stuff, too. All in all, there are some things that we have to do at a better level today." Tennessee will hold its final padded spring practice on Wednesday. The Vols will conclude spring practices with their annual Orange & White Game on Saturday at Neyland Stadium.
