Texas 5-Star QB Commit Dia Bell Makes Big NIL Announcement

There once was a time after the days of Vince Young and Colt McCoy, when the Texas Longhorns struggled to find elite quarterbacks.

With head coach Steve Sarkisian at the helm, it appears that will never be a concern again. While former No. 1 overall recruit Quinn Ewers is now a part of the Miami Dolphins, his well-known backup and fellow former No. 1 overall recruit Arch Manning is more than ready for the moment.

While fans don't want to rush Manning out of Austin by any means, Sarkisian already has another five-star quarterback lined up in 2026 recruit Dia Bell. The son of former NBA star Raja Bell ranks as the No. 12 player in the country, and is expected to take over for Manning once he departs for the NFL.

In addition to being one of the best high school players in the country, the American Heritage (FL) product also has a significant brand, which likely grew following his latest NIL deal. As revealed on social media, Bell has inked an NIL deal with Gatorade.

According to On3, Bell has an NIL Valuation of $927,000, and in addition to Gatorade already has an NIL deal with Leaf Trading Cards.

This past season for American Heritage, Bell threw for 2,597 yards and 29 touchdowns to six interceptions, while also rushing for 561 yards and five more scores. Unfortunately for him, his season ended on Nov. 22 against Dillard due to a lower leg injury that saw him be carted off of the field.

Bell has since recovered, participating in Overtime's OT7 event in Dallas back in March.

He has also been a major recruiter for the Longhorns, who currently have just four commits. It's unclear if Manning will be in the picture by the time Bell gets to Austin, but clearly the future is bright in the quarterback room at Texas.
