After signing a seven-year, $182 million contract in the offseason, former Milwaukee Brewers shortstop Willy Adames now wears the orange and black of the San Francisco Giants on his chest.
But before the Aug. 24 Brewers- Giants game that celebrated the life of Bob Uecker, the longtime, Hall of Fame voice of the Brewers, Adames' heart (and feet) were full of blue and gold.
Fans at American Family Field should give him another standing ovation for his Sunday footwear.
Adames, who had a close relationship with Uecker over his four years with the team, honored the both the legendary broadcasting icon and city of Milwaukee with slick custom Uecker cleats in vibrant Brewers colors.

The high-top shoes include the city skyline, with the area code 414 and "Thank you Milwaukee" on one foot and Uecker's legendary home run call "get up, get up, get outta here, gone" and his nickname "Mr. Baseball" on the other.
Adames was visibly emotional during spring training in February when speaking about his time with Uecker.
