Champion Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo is making a name for himself in an entirely different sport than the one he won titles in with the Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers. The University of Kentucky alum has leapt to the top of the flag football quarterback ratings in the United States by some accounts, and the footage we are seeing of Rondo on the gridiron suggest that he is indeed quite adept at tossing the ole pigskin with impressive accuracy.
What should we make of the mercurial Celtics alum finding his groove in this less well-known version of the sport that dominates the US? Will he have a late florescence in this sport that further burnishes his reputation as one of the greatest minds when it comes to moving a ball where it needs to be in multiple sports?
The hosts of the CLNS Media "How Bout Them Celtics!" podcast, Jack Simone and Sam LaFrance, took some time on a recent episode of their show to talk it over. Check it out below!
