The New York Liberty earned a convincing 98-84 win over the Indiana Fever on Tuesday night, improving to 16-6 on the season. With Caitlin Clark still out injured, Kelsey Mitchell stepped up for Indiana with a game-high 29 points, but the Liberty controlled the game behind Jonquel Jones’ 18-point effort. Sabrina Ionescu had an unusually quiet scoring night with 13 points, but she made her impact felt by dishing out a game-high nine assists.

Among the stars in attendance at Barclays Center was Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant. The NBA All-Star has been a regular presence at WNBA games in recent years, continuing to show support for the league and its players.

After the final buzzer, Morant and Ionescu shared a moment, swapping their signature sneakers courtside. With both athletes having their own Nike signature lines, the gesture was a show of mutual respect.

Fans on social media were quick to react to the clip shared by the Liberty.

“Ja Morant recognizing the Liberty's W? 🙌 Now that's some sweet cross-league love right there,” one fan wrote.

“Showing some support is kind,” another fan added.

“Ja is a real one,” a fan posted.

“My favorite basketball player likes my favorite WNBA team 😭👍,” another fan remarked.

“Lmao never seen a signature shoe swap! That’s 🔥,” another fan mentioned

“my two GOATS,” another fan said.

The Liberty, winners of last season’s WNBA title, remain in top form with the second half of the season underway. New York, currently the top seed in the Eastern Conference, remains among the top favorites to win the championship this season.
