West Bromwich Albion are reportedly nearing an agreement to sign Liverpool defender Nat Phillips.

The Championship side rates the 28-year-old as a key target as they look to add experience to their defence.

The Telegraph claims the club are in advanced talks to sign him this summer.

The Baggies finished ninth in the Championship last season. In a bid to push for promotion, they have appointed Ryan Mason as their manager.

Mason is focused on improving the squad, and strengthening the defence is a priority.

Phillips spent last season on loan at Derby County, where he made a solid impression.

With only one year left on his contract at Liverpool, the centre-back is looking to make a permanent move.

Phillips is an experienced option for West Brom

Phillips has featured in the Premier League, Bundesliga and Scottish Premiership.
