Lady Vols' latest softball bracketology projection ahead of playing Texas

Tennessee (32-8, 7-5 SEC) is ranked No. 7 in the NFCA/GoRout Division I Coaches Poll. The Lady Vols will next play at Texas, Friday-Sunday, in SEC play.

First pitch between the Lady Vols and Longhorns on Friday is slated for 9 p.m. EDT (ESPNU). Saturday's game No. 2 will take place at 6 p.m. EDT (ESPN), while Sunday's series finale is scheduled for 1 p.m. EDT (SEC Network+).

Ahead of the Tennessee-Texas softball series, College Sports Madness released updated college softball bracketology projections.

The Lady Vols are projected to host the Knoxville Regional at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium. Virginia, Georgia Southern and Boston are also projected to play in the Knoxville Regional with Tennessee.

The winner of the Knoxville Regional would play the winner of the Norman Regional, hosted by Oklahoma. Oklahoma State, Samford and Cleveland State are also projected to play in the Norman Regional.

The Lady Vols won a three-game series, 2-1, at Oklahoma during the regular season. The Sooners have won the last four national championships.
