Girona star Arthur Melo was the victim of an altogether unpleasant experience whilst out and about in Barcelona on Friday.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have provided an insight into the details of the situation.

Midfielder Arthur, it is understood, spent Friday enjoying a day of leisure and shopping in Barcelona, taking advantage of a day off from training.

Unfortunately for the Brazilian, though, as he brought as much to a close, a member of the public took advantage of the opportunity to steal a watch from his wrist.

As per MD:

‘As he was leaving a parking lot on Passeig de Gràcia, he was the victim of a sudden robbery. As he was collecting his ticket to leave the parking lot, a man approached him from behind and snatched his watch in a matter of seconds, leaving him unable to react.’

The former Barcelona star, thankfully, did not suffer any form of injury during the incident.

Arthur subsequently filed a case with the local poilce, with it now remaining to be seen whether anything comes of the investigation.
