https://ift.tt/TgOUZx8

Over the last few weeks, we've looked at some of the best high school football recruits from the country's recruiting hotbeds.

The series started with the best 2026 recruits out of Texas before heading to Florida and finally out west to California.

This time, we'll head west and look at the Peach State. Here are the top 2026 recruits to keep an eye on from Georgia.

Taylor Atkinson

School: Grayson (Loganville)

Position: Linebacker

Commitment: Uncommitted

Summary: Atkinson put up monster numbers in a junior season that no one will be able to touch. In 13 games, he accounted for 166 tackles, 46 quarterback pressures, 32 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, and three pass breakups.

Georgia appears to be the frontrunner in his recruitment. He was last in Athens on March 11 for an unofficial visit.

Xavier Griffin

School: Gainesville

Position: Linebacker

Commitment: USC

Summary: Griffin's already made his college decision and decided to head west instead of staying in the south. He committed to USC last July.

While other programs may try to flip him, Griffin seems like a solid pledge for the Trojans. He's set to take his official visit to the school on June 20.

Jorden Edmonds

School: Sprayberry (Marietta)

Position: Cornerback

Commitment: Alabama

Summary: Like Griffin, Edmonds has already made his college decision: he's headed to Tuscaloosa.

The Crimson Tide are getting a two-way standout in Edmonds. Offensively, he accounted for 670 yards and four touchdowns as a receiver. On defense, he recorded 35 tackles.

Kaiden Prothro

School: Bowdon

Position: Tight End

Commitment: Uncommitted

Summary: Prothro is one of the most sought-after players in the country, and for good reason. Last year, he recorded 56 receptions for 1,203 yards and 22 touchdowns.

His official visits include Georgia (May 30), Alabama (June 6), Auburn (June 10), Florida (June 13) and Texas (June 20).

Tristian Givens

School: Carver (Columbus)

Position: EDGE

Commitment: Uncommitted

Summary: If Tennessee is looking to land an elite pass-rusher out of the Peach State, they may have it if they land Givens.

The Vols are the favorites to land Givens, and he's set to return to Knoxville on June 6 for an official visit.

Jordan Smith

School: Houston County (Warner Robins)

Position: Safety

Commitment: Uncommitted

Summary: Georgia doesn't have to look too far to land an elite talent for its secondary. Smith is leaning toward the Bulldogs and will make an official campus visit on May 31.

He also has official visits lined up to Georgia Tech (June 6), Florida State (June 13) and Tennessee (June 20).

Brayden Rouse

School: Kell (Marietta)

Position: Linebacker

Commitment: Uncommitted

Summary: The Vols also appear to be in a great spot to land Rouse. A 6-foot-3, 205-pound standout, Rouse holds the Vols high on his list but also has official visits lined up to Alabama and Michigan.

Last season, he recorded 111 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, and 3.5 sacks.

Bryce Perry-Wright

School: Buford

Position: Defensive Lineman

Commitment: Uncommitted

Summary: Perry-Wright, one of the top defensive linemen in the country, measures in at 6-foot-2 and 250 pounds.

Auburn is the early favorite in his recruitment, and he's set to take his official visit to the school on May 16.

Jordan Carter

School: Douglas County (Douglasville)

Position: EDGE

Commitment: Texas A&M

Summary: One of two Tigers committed to the Aggies, Carter is college-ready at 6-foot-4 and 235 pounds.

As a junior, he accounted for 62 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, and 13 sacks.

Aaron Gregory

School: Douglas County (Douglasville)

Position: Wide Receiver

Commitment: Texas A&M

Summary: Gregory has been committed to Texas A&M since last October.

His junior season saw him catch 53 passes for 914 yards and nine touchdowns.

Earnest Rankins

School: Southwest DeKalb (Decatur)

Position: Defensive Lineman

Commitment: Uncommitted

Summary: A 6-foot-6, 285-pound monster up front, Rankins is an early lean toward Georgia. He has an official visit scheduled to Athens (June 20) as well as Auburn (May 16) and Ole Miss (June 13).

Lasiah Jackson

School: Lee County (Leesburg)

Position: Cornerback

Commitment: Uncommitted

Summary: Jackson is a big cornerback, standing at 6-foot-3 and 175 pounds. He fits the mold of an old-school Florida State cornerback, and the Seminoles are currently a leading candidate in his recruitment.

Jackson's official visit list includes Georgia Tech (May 30), Stanford (June 6), Florida State (June 13) and Alabama (June 20).

Devin Carter

School: Douglas County (Douglasville)

Position: Wide Receiver

Commitment: Auburn

Summary: Carter was the Tigers' No. 2 receiver last year, catching 41 passes for 668 yards and five touchdowns.

Like his teammate, Carter has committed to an SEC program, but he'll be heading to Auburn. He's been committed to the Tigers since January.

Xavier Tiller

School: Langston Hughes (Fairburn)

Position: Tight End

Commitment: Uncommitted

Summary: A 6-foot-4, 212-pound threat outside, Auburn is the heavy favorite to land Tiller.

His official visits include Alabama (May 30), Auburn (June 6), Florida State (June 13) and USC (June 20).

Jae Lamar

School: Colquitt County (Moultrie)

Position: Running Back

Commitment: Uncommitted

Summary: Lamar was the No. 2 back for the Packers last season, rushing for 885 yards and 11 touchdowns on 112 carries.

Georgia is the favorite candidate for his recruitment at the moment. He has official visits lined up to Auburn (May 16), Georgia (May 30), Miami (June 13) and Florida State (June 20).
