Bengals free agent predicted as fit for Cowboys, Raiders

Cincinnati Bengals free agent Mike Hilton remains one of the best players left on the open market.

While Hilton appeared to say goodbye to the Bengals, it has been interesting to speculate whether the team might end up bringing him back at some point this offseason.

Until then, though, Hilton's name has come up in plenty of free-agency projections. That includes being listed as a fit for the Dallas Cowboys and Las Vegas Raiders by Bleacher Report's Moe Moton:

"He's logged at least five pass breakups, four tackles for loss and an interception every year. Additionally, he has allowed a passer rating of 92 or below in coverage for seven out of eight campaigns."

Fittingly, the column outlined several free agents who can still be "key contributors" for teams, which is certainly the case for Hilton.

While Hilton had his role reduced last year and even logged snaps at safety, his sound tackling and borderline elite ability as a blitzer make him a valuable commodity for teams like the Cowboys and Raiders to add.

The Bengals, meanwhile, want to undergo a youth movement under new coordinator Al Golden. Maybe Hilton and the team consider a reunion at a later date. But right now, the starting corners are Dax Hill (kicked inside), DJ Turner and Cam Taylor-Britt, with sophomore Josh Newton perhaps in that Hilton role, too -- before any draft additions.
