The Chicago Cubs acquired Jose Martinez in a trade with the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday, giving manager David Ross another option at designated hitter. ''It's a nice boost to get an offensive piece that makes you deeper than you already are,'' Ross said after Chicago's 10-1 win at Cincinnati.
